encaustic
In 2014, I went back to painting some small works in encaustic, which involves working on a hot surface from 160 to 200 degrees. Painting with wax and fire, I attain a new balance and process with my working style, moving away from the computer and mechanics to explore playful metamorphosis. The paint flows; it renews my understanding of nature’s purpose, gain new insights, and obtain a more tremendous respect for the presence of the unknown.
