Flowers, fauna, and fruit are some of the materials I’ve collected. Using selected handmade papers and occasionally debris to help create the mood or tension for the backgrounds. Using sunlight-filled days that spill over onto the scanner affects the images created. I never had any traditional toys, dolls, or store-purchased items. As an immigrant and extremely poor, I used wallpapered rooms with shadowed ceilings as my ‘Visual Tablet'. I had imaginary beasts, dolls, and fantasy designs. I must say that I’m elated by the unexpected images that the process revels.
